Here is entire deleted Pentecostal Evangel article

In late of October  2009, Assemblies of God magazine, Pentecostal Evangel, published an article by AOG SoCal Superintendent T. Ray Rachels. Incredibly, Rachels heaped praises on “Christian” universalist Anne Lamott; and also promoted a number of contemplatives. He used The Message without ever noting it is not the Word of God.

Yesterday, aware this article has appalled many saints, the Pentecostal Evangel deleted it entirely from their website archives. For this we should be thankful. This issue, however, is not over. There are three areas we will focus on in the coming days: Superintendent Rachels’ use of The Message as a translation (he actually has referred to it as such); his promotion and acceptance of contemplatives such as Tony Campolo and others; and his portrayal of Anne Lamott, which has been covered in articles on this blog.

This is not to embarrass PE magazine. They blew it big time, and it is over. You and I have blown it a time or two, haven’t we? But it’s important that people are able to read this.
